Im going to graduate, i hope, in a few years ( 1.5)..luckily i would be able to find a good job with a great pay . Basically , everything that i want to do is concerned with fashion. I would love to work for a company like Chanel, Ralph Lauren or somebody else. It all depends what kind of internships im going to get in the future. Also, if that doesn't work out, in the beginning i could probably become a buyer for one of the major department stores like Bloomingdales, or Saks. Besides looking for internships, i also work at Macys as an associate. Cosmetics department, in which i work, is pretty interesting field to be working for, but not for me. i can;t imagine spending more time with lotions, creams and masks , i would just kill myself. because you see it almost everyday and most of the time it is the same. Another fiels that sounds interesting to me is publishing. i really admire people like Anna Wintour because she is able to do such an amazing work as an editor at Vogue. I don't know if the movie "Devil Wears Prada" was about her but i would love to work for her when i graduate. I think she is amazing and i really admire her .

well it sounds to me that you have the same mid-term goals as every other student which is to graduate and get a good job. But i think you should set your long term goal a li higher "no harm intended" but i think you should set a long term goal of trying to be like Anna Wintour or better then her instead of settling for a job of working for her. Once again i dint mean to offend you in anyway, if it did so.
You seem to have an expansive vision with a lot of potential. I'm not familiar with the world of fashion or cosmetics but I'm sure it is as competitive as the business sector, if not more so. However, you already have the edge, given that you are an associate at Macy's. Also, I've heard a thing or two about Anna Wintour, and she appears to be quite an admirable and a reputable individual. I'm sure holding successful people in high regard at least contributes to our vision, since we try to learn from their mistakes and achievements. For me it's Larry Page and Sergey Brin, the founders of Google, as well as Steven Jobs, the founder of Apple and the one of the most innovative business people. I'm looking forward to seeing your name in the list of editors for Vogue!
I think your goals are very attainable. The fasion industry seems very interesting and I hope you land the job that you are looking for. You can look up to Anna Wintour for inspirating but I think you can also do better than her if you put your mind into it. I wish you the best.

If you want to work in fashion industry, you need to know something about fabric, be able to tell what is cotton, damash, tafetta...etc. You can start with Production Assistant, there are a lot of such position open in the industry and it is not an easy job but you can learn a lot. Hope you can achieve you goal in the near future.
Thank you. Although, I might have written my post in a straighforward and precise format, my 5-year vision is a different kind of species. In fact it is quite indistinct. However, writing it down in such a manner certainly made me more aware of what I want to accomplish.
The carreer is always driven by luck and education. I hope it will work for you and you get to the point that you want to be. I wish you all the best. If I were you during the last year I would try to find the paid or unpaid internship (maybe even for for free for specific period of time) and then apply for regualr job. I think it is much easier. Anyway, I wish you all the best and I hope you realize your dreams.
