Hi
For me to describe current problem it's not hard since i just start working at the new place. I don't just want to say that my problem is that my manager is not a very pleasant woman . She is ...but still, she can't be nice to everyone. My problem right now is that before they hired me we discussed my vacation and i told them that i want to take my vacation in January ( when we have the whole month off). They agreed to that and i started working. So, besides making my life miserable , my manager told me i can't take vacation in January because she thinks that it won't be fair to other workers ( cause they worked longer than I). In the end, she told me that she would give me the exact answer in the end of December!!! I just think that it is not fair that she would do that because i have to buy tickets in the November or in the end of October...
So, my question is: How would you deal with such manager?

My advice to you would be to approach your manager once again and let her know kindly that the reason you accepted the job in the first place was because you were under the impression that they would allow you to take vacation in January. Let her know that you were honest in disclosing your plans ahead of time prior to your hiring date and should have that been a problem they should've never hired you. It is apparent that they agreed under those terms. Had you known that they would have changed their mind later on you would have reconsidered accepting their offer. Let her know that you were misinformed and were under false pretense. Lot's of luck!!!!
I think that you should approach her, tell her that before you got hired you discussed your vacation days, and it was agreed on January. Tell her you already have something booked and can't cancel and that is why you told them ahaid of time that you will need a vacation in Jan. If she still wont cooperate, I suggest discussing this with her boss, and see were that goes.
This situation requires that you approach you manager in a very professional manner tell her that you gave sufficient notice for the vacation time and that it was a determining factor in accepting this position. You should probably not wait too much longer to approach her because it might give the impression that it is not as important to you, giving her another excuse to decline your request.
